Jushin “Thunder” Liger Enters WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020

The legendary Japanese performer will be inducted alongside Davey Boy Smith and the NWO in this year’s ceremony.

Before retiring this year, Jushin Liger had been a mainstay for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and even in his advanced age, was featured heavily amongst the biggest shows for the company.

The reports of Liger’s induction were first seen on Tokyo Sports. This will mean (if everything goes ahead) the Florida crowd will be treated to an appearance from the legend himself. What seems more likely, is that this honour will not be collected in person unfortunately.

Travel around the world is becoming increasingly difficult, especially if the travel is deemed unnecessary.

The honour is still valid, and Liger’s realtionship with the WWE is not a distant one by any means. Liger has worked with Vince McMahon on numerous occasions in the past, most recently, he went up against Tyler Breeze at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV for Vince’s yellow brand.

Whatever happens Wrestlemania weekend, what is certain, is that this induction is thoroughly deserved.
